Need

China Coast Community provides accommodation to 39 elderly residents requiring permanent and respite care. As care need increases, so does the need for new technology, equipment, and staff for resident care.

Intervention

SJNEFFL supported the hire of a qualified dietician to visit the centre for 2 hours every month, identify clinical issues, offer dietetics and nutritional advice, and provide a quarterly dietician report, to assist residents in maintaining good nutrition.

Impact

The dietician hired has been able to provide much-needed support to China Coast Community and is resourceful, flexible and understanding to their needs.
